The fritters are cooked in the air fryer similarly to a convection oven. But because of its compact size, it cooks food faster than the oven. Zucchini fritters are a healthy, tasty and low-fat snack option that you can enjoy anytime you want.
It takes 15 minutes to prepare this crispy pakora. Here’s how you make it.
Ingredients
2 medium shredded zucchini
1/4 cup chickpea flour
1 tsp rice flour or corn starch
1 teaspoon salt
1 shredded onion
2 tablespoon parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper ( optional )
2 tablespoon oil
Method
- Grate the zucchini and place it on a muslin cloth or cotton towel.
- Add 1 teaspoon of salt to the grated zucchini and mix.
- Let it stand for 15-20 minutes.
- Now squeeze the liquid from the zucchini with a muslin cloth.
- Now, take a bowl and add zucchini with all the ingredients.
- Mix all the ingredients well. Make sure the mixture is not too wet. You can add bread crumbs if it's too sticky and wet.
- Now, prepare flat round and small fritters using your hands.
- Heat the air fryer for five minutes at 200 ° C.
- At this point, insert the perforated parchment paper and place the shaped zucchini fritters on the parchment paper.
- Drizzle some oil. Operate the air fryer at 180 ° C for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Then remove the basket and turn the fritters over.
- Restart the air fryer at 190 ° C for 4 minutes. Brush the fritters with more oil. This will make the fritters crispy and golden.
- After 10 minutes, remove from the air fryer when the fritters are perfectly baked and crispy on the outside.
- Serve hot with your favourite sauces.
Tip: To make the fritters more interesting, you can add one egg to the zucchini mixture.
