Giloy to Haldi: 5 Herbs For Kidney Health

Just like any other body part, Kidney is a crucial part in the body that helps in proper functioning. The pair of bean-shaped organs is located just beneath the rib cage and is extremely essential for eradicating toxins and wastes from the body. Giloy 

Giloy is one such herb considered quite powerful in Ayurveda. As per nutritionist Lovneet Batra, giloy contains alkaloids which can protect kidneys from the toxicity that may arise due to aflatoxin. Besides, giloy has antioxidant properties that can destroys free radicals generated during aflatoxicosis and thus, prevents kidney damage. 

Turmeric 

Turmeric or haldi is known for its anti-bacterial and antiseptic properties. But did you know that turmeric is good for kidneys too? According to nutritionist Batra, turmeric leads to improved plasma proteins and decreased serum urea. It could be beneficial when it comes to the improvement of kidney function. 

Ginger 

Wait, what? Ginger is one of the most common herbs used in Indian as well as other cuisines across the globe. Not just can it cure respiratory issues, but it can also promote better kidney health. As per the nutritionist, ginger contains anti-inflammatory properties that can help in reducing swelling and pain in the kidneys. 

Triphala 

Triphala is a magic remedy made up of three rejuvenating herbs called Amalaki, Haritaki and Bibhitaki. This magical powder, which is considered quite effective in Ayurveda, helps in fortifying the kidney tissues and improving plasma proteins. Besides, it helps in enhancing the overall renal functioning. 

Dandelion Roots 

According to the nutritionist, Dandelion roots have diuretic properties that do not just help flush the kidney stones but also help in keeping urinary system flowing strong.
