Summer is here and so is the need to hydrate ourselves every single day. the hot weather in India is extremely harsh and there are a lot of people who suffer from dehydration throughout this weather. Not only is it hot but it gets very humid which causes a lot of water loss from the body. So, it is important to understand that we need to change our food habits according to the weather and eat foods that are rich in water. We need to add more and more food to our diet which can keep us hydrated for really long or give us instant hydration when we really need it.

Just like nature has provided us with everything that is good for us, it has also provided us with seasonal foods according to the weather and the climate. A lot of vegetables and fruits that we only get in the summer time are also one of those that are highest in water quantity. Mango 

The king of fruits, mango is full of water content. In fact, it is made up of 86% water and That is why it is such a relief that this fruit is available in a huge quantity during the summer season. Cucumber

It hydrates you instantly and gives you the strength to shop for a couple of more hours. Filled with water, cucumber is a boon for the summers.

While soups and broth are generally associated with the winter season, but it is important to note that they are really healthy to have in summers because of the high water content that they have. No matter chicken broth or vegetable ones, add in some veggies and they become a very good option to have for hydration in summer season as well.

While this is a dish that can be eaten all around the year, yogurt is especially beneficial during the summer season. Plain yogurt has more than 88% water and that gives you enough hydration to start the day if you like having a bowl of plain yogurt along with oats or muesli for your breakfast.

Broccoli 

This cruciferous vegetable has 92% water content and it is also a great source of fibre and iron. If you are having broccoli in the summer season, then it is suggested that you should have them steamed for the maximum amount of hydration as well as to gain the maximum nutrition from them.
