Lemon juice and salt marinated fish fillets. breadcrumbs, eggs, and flour, then deep-fried till golden. accompanied by a rich tartar sauce. Mayonnaise diced pickles and/or relish capers, and herbs like tarragon and dill are the ingredients for tartar sauce, a dipping sauce. The flavour of tartar sauce can be improved by including additional herbs, lemon juice, or olives. It is typically paired with seafood meals including fried oysters, calamari, fish sandwiches, fish fingers, fish & chips, and fish sandwiches.

Ingredients

  1. 8 fish fillets
  2. 1 tsp salt
  3. 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  4. 1 egg-slightly beaten
  5. 1/4 cup flour
  6. 1/4 tsp salt
  7. 1/4 tsp black pepper powdered 
  8. Bread crumbs
  9. Oil for deep frying

For the Tartar Sauce:

  1. 1 cup mayonnaise
  2. 1 onion-chopped fine
  3. 1 tomato, de-seeded and chopped very fine
  4. 2 Tbsp chopped celery
  5. 1/4 tsp salt

  1. For 30 minutes, marinate the fish in salt and lemon juice.
  2. The fish should be cleaned, dried off, and then dipped in the seasoned flour. Extra flour should be dusted off.
  3. Don't wet the remaining crumbs as you now dip the fish in the beaten egg and then the powdered breadcrumbs.
  4. Reapply the egg and crumbs a second time, then set the fish aside until you're ready to fry it.
  5. The Tartar Sauce ingredients should be combined.
  6. Heat the oil just before serving, then deep-fry the fish till it turns golden brown.
