Sugar
Any dessert is incomplete without a pinch of sugar in it. Sugar is one of the most used food items in your kitchen. It will last forever if kept in an airtight container. Its texture may change a bit after a long time but that doesn't mean it won't be eatable.
Salt
Salt is one of the most essential food items that you need to prepare food. It adds taste to a dish. You can't even think of a dish other desserts without this flavouring agent. Salt is also used as a preservative in pickles.
Cornstarch
If kept away from moisture, cornstarch can last for years. It is used to marinate veggies or chicken. You also add cornstarch in gravies and sauces to make them thick. You can store cornstarch in an airtight container to increase its shelf life.
Vinegar
Known as a preservative, vinegar increases the shelf life of other food items. So, you can think how long will it last fresh. You do not need to keep vinegar in the refrigerator.

Honey
