We assume that everyone who reads this enjoyed a bowl of guavas with some chaat masala on top during winter. Some of you have undoubtedly gone to great lengths to create delicious guava jams, jellies, and murrabbas, but have you ever considered or prepared its chutney? Yes, guava chutney, also known as amrood ki chutney, exists. This chutney pairs well with chilla, sandwiches, idlis, and cutlets since it is somewhat spicy, acidic, and pungent in flavour. The best part is that you can make this delicious side dish in just a few minutes.
- 250 gm chopped guavas
- Salt as per taste
- 1 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 1/2 tbsp chopped green chillies
- 1/2 tbsp chopped ginger
- 1 1/2 tsp chilli powder
- 2 1/2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
- 3-4 mint leaves
Method
- Chop the guava into small pieces and place them in a bowl. The seeds may be taken out, although doing so is entirely optional. We have eliminated the seeds for this recipe.
