Egg Chaat: A Recipe Eggetarians Will Love

Egg Chaat is not only delicious in taste but a healthy, high protein, and low-calorie option for you. You may know that eggs have the tendency to make you feel full for a long time. It is best to eat this chaat in breakfast to feel more satisfied; this is usually attributed to the high protein content in eggs. 

Ingredients: ( Serves 3 people )

  • 6 eggs
  • 1 large-sized onion
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1 red capsicum
  • 1 small cucumber
  • 2 teaspoon tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon chat masala
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black salt
  • 10-13 mint leaves
  • Coriander leaves
  • 1 teaspoon chilli sauce
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)

Recipe: 

  • Start with boiling the eggs. 
  • Now finely chop the onions, capsicum, and chilli. 
  • Peel the cucumber and slice it into small vertical cubes.
  • For this recipe, we only need the egg whites, so dice the egg whites, and remove the yolks.  
  • To make the chaat, mix all the ingredients in a bowl. ( Onions, capsicum, chilli, cucumber, and egg )
  • Add chaat masala, salt, chilli sauce, tomato sauce, lemon juice.
  • Mix it well and garnish with mint leaves and coriander.

How can you add your version? 

You can make your own version of this chaat by using add-ons like:

  • Add lettuce and baby spinach to make this chaat even more healthy.
  • You can also add ½ cup of thick yogurt if you like a creamy chaat.
  • You can also make coriander chutney to add to the Chaat.
  • If you want something sweet, you can add chopped carrots too.
