Easy Recipe: How To Make Refreshing Lemon Bread Loaf For A Delightful Summer

The joy of making something from scratch gives us a lot of room to experiment and explore new possibilities. And thus, we bring you the recipe of lemon bread loaf, which is a buttery, moist and lemony pound cake topped with sweet icing. It is a refreshing departure from your regular loaf of bread, So, without squandering any more of your valuable time, here’s the recipe.

Ingredients:

• 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour (maida)

• 1 cup milk

• 1 tbsp vinegar

• 1 tsp baking powder

• ½ tsp baking soda

• ½ cup unsalted butter

• 1 ½ cup granulated sugar

• 2 large eggs, room temperature

• 1 tsp vanilla extract

• 1 tbsp lemon zest

• ½ tsp salt

• lemon juice

Preparations:

1. Grease a loaf pan or mini pan and also preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C).

2. In the cup of milk add vinegar and keep it aside for at least 5 mins.

3. Take a large bowl, add eggs, lemon zest, ½ cup lemon juice, sugar, butter, vanilla extract and vinegar-milk. Whisk all these ingredients well.

4. Then add flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Again, whisk them together until the batter is silky and smooth in texture. Make sure there aren’t any lumps.

5. Pour the mixture into the greased pan and let it bake for 40-45 mins (loaf pan) or 20-25 mins (mini pan). You can insert a toothpick to check whether they are done or not.

6. Meanwhile, for icing take a bowl, add 1 ½ powdered sugar and 1-2 tbsp lemon juice. Whisk them together until it is foamy smooth.

7. When the loaf is ready and cooled down to room temperature, spread the zingy icing on top of the loaf evenly.
