Whenever I used to watch my favourite movie stars perform action scenes in a film, it would literally give me goose bumps. The thrill and excitement of jumping from a high cliff into the ocean or climbing up a high-rise building would be unmatched. At times, i would put myself in their shoes and imagine myself performing all those stunts. Honestly, the mere thought of it would get me really scared. There are plenty of such things that people fear in their lives and when it starts to interfere with their functioning, it turns into phobias. 

You could have a fear of being in enclosed spaces which is known as claustrophobia or you could be simply scared of cooking food too. Don’t believe us? It is actually a phobia and is known as mageirocophobia. For those untouched by the phenomenon, this phobia pertains to the fear of cooking which translates into anxiety. We may sometimes be lazy to cook in the kitchen so we end up ordering from outside. However, there are certain people who get nervous chills at the thought of preparing the meal. It could be associated with the use of sharp objects like knives in the kitchen, the extreme heat from the gas stove on which food is cooked, a lengthy recipe or serving a eat-worthy meal on the table that looks presentable. 

If you’ve got even the slightest of these fears and that’s stopping you from donning the chef hat, here are some basic recipes that may help you overcome it. 

1.  Chicken Cheese Sandwiches 

Made with minimum ingredients and a quick and easy recipe, these chicken sandwiches are delicious and filling. Slice the chicken into strips and toss them on a pan with salt and pepper. Get your bread, cheese slice, chicken strips and seasonings. Toast it if you like or eat it right away.

2.  Paneer Bhurji
