To ensure that these cures are prepared for the cold and flu season, I advise creating them in advance. This ginger lemon honey tea is effective, and not just as a sore throat treatment. These components, while intended to calm and heal, will actually make your cold last less time.
Vitamin C is abundant in lemons, especially the pith, which is the white component that we all generally avoid. Vitamin C aids in boosting the immune system and scavenging the body's free radicals. The potent therapeutic component of ginger is known as gingerol, a bioactive molecule found in ginger. helps your body sweat away toxins, which is beneficial if you have the flu or a cold.
A natural cough suppressant is honey (Which explains why the most effective cough drops to use, is honey). Additionally, it strengthens the body's defences against infection and lowers the likelihood of fevers.
Ingredients
- 3 Cups Water
- 1 tsp Ginger, finely chopped
- 1 tsp Tea leaves, for every cup
- 1 tsp Lemon juice
- 1 tsp Honey
Method
- Heat three cups of water in a pan.
- Add ginger just before it starts to boil.
- Add the tea leaves, honey, and lemon juice as soon as it begins to boil.
- Enjoy after straining it into a cup.
