This year has been marked as the year of the rabbit, as per the Chinese lunar calendar. It is customary in their culture to assign a zodiac sign to each new year. Not just that, they also truly believe in the power of food to bring good omens to the family. Take the longevity noodles, for instance.
It is believed that eating these noodles increases one's longevity and is a sign of health and prosperity. Similarly, dumplings are considered a good-luck symbol too. Eating dumplings brings wealth and good fortune for the upcoming year. A harbinger of monetary gains, growth, and prosperity, it would be unfair to miss out on a dumpling treat this year.
