Chef Kunal Kapur's Viral Chilli Yoghurt Dip Is Irresistible!

If you think winter isn’t for yoghurt, you’re wrong. Yoghurt can be a terrific base or a condiment for winter meals since they’re so nutrient-rich. It should be consumed in winter as it is a good source of essential nutrients such as protein, calcium, vitamin D, and probiotics. These nutrients are important for maintaining overall health, supporting bone health, and promoting a healthy gut. Not to mention they are truly versatile and can be consumed in many ways. Like a flavourful and fun dip, which was recently made by Chef Kunal Kapur.

Kapur recently shared with his followers his recipe for a spicy yoghurt dip which can be paired with Asian snacks! Kapur’s chilly cheese yoghurt dip has a very easy recipe that needs minimal prepping. If you already know how to make chilli garlic sauce at home, this recipe should be a cakewalk. It uses some aromatics and spices which are topped with some oil and mixed. The yoghurt is then topped with this spicy chilli garlic sauce, just like it's done in a tadka. 

A spicy yoghurt dip, much like spicy hummus can be paired alongside a number of things. Since Kapur's dip has some noteworthy Asian flavours, it's best paired with fried dumplings or pan-fried veggies. So if you have 10 minutes to spare, try this amazing hack at home!

Chilli Yoghurt Dip

Ingredients

Yoghurt - 400 gm

Salt

Spring Onion - 4 tablespoons

Peanuts - 1 ½ tbsp

Chopped garlic - 1 tbsp

Chilli flakes - 1 tbsp

Coriander - 1 tbsp

Oil

Method

Strain the yoghurt and separate the water. Dry it and whip it so it achieves a thick, even consistency.

Spread the yoghurt on a flat plate and sprinkle some salt.

.In a separate bowl, add in the spring onions, peanuts, garlic and chilli flakes and give it a good mix

In a pan heat some cooking oil. Once it’s hot, add it to the garlic-seasoning mixture (like you make a chilli garlic oil at home). Mix well

Take spoonfuls of the mixture and smatter it across the yoghurt. Pair with your favourite Asian snacks
