Bizzare Food Laws From Around The World

There have always been laws around food since times immemorial. While most of these laws make sense, some of them have become redundant in this time and age. However, no one has moved a motion in the parliament to revoke these laws and as a result of that, some archaic laws around food have made it to the present constitutions of countries. We compiled some hilarious food laws from around the world and we bet that some of these bizzare laws are surely going to leave you laughing.

1) Alaska, United States

Most of the most hilarious laws around food are from the Unites States. Did you know that in Alaska, you can’t feed any alcoholic drink to a moose? So if you had any plans of spending time with this wild animal in a bar, they are not going to pan out any time soon. If you do feed a moose a beer in Alaska, you can be charged under serious offence.

We really need to bring this law in India. Rejoice foodies, for in Denmark, you are only legally required to pay for your meal only and only if you are, by your own standards, ‘full’. How lucky are the people living in Denmark?! We surely hope that this particular law isn't misused by a hungry group of foodies who are on a tight budget.

7) New York, United States

Acrobats is fine. Skateboarding is fine. Dancing in the city centre is fine. But walking backwards on the sidewalks while eating peanuts is a serious offence in New York. Yes you read that right. You can not eat peanuts and walk backwards on the sidewalks in New York, unless you want to attract penal action. So next time you visit New York, be sure to report to the police if you see such crime.
