Besan Sheera; Homemade Boon For Flu And Cold

This sheera can assist in totally cleansing the nasal passages. Dr Ashutosh Gautam, an expert in Ayurveda, says it is a guaranteed treatment for runny noses. Ingredients

1. Ghee (Clarified Butter) - 1 1/4th tbsp.

2. Besan (Chickpea Flour) - 03 tbsp.

3. Milk, warm-02 cups

4. Turmeric powder- 1/4th tsp.

5. Freshly ground black peppercorns- 1/4th tsp.

6. Green Cardamom Powder- 1/4th tsp.

7. Jaggery, organic, grated- 2.5 tsp.

8. Saffron- 1/4th gm

For The Garnish

1. Pistachio nuts 

2. Almonds slivered- 01 tsp

1. Besan is roasted till it gets golden and aromatic in ghee in a heavy-bottomed non-stick pan.

2. To ensure that it cooks evenly, make sure to stir it frequently.

3. Warm milk should be added gradually while being thoroughly whisked to prevent lumps.

4. Mix well before adding the grated jaggery, ground pepper, cardamom powder, and turmeric. Add the strands of saffron. It will quickly thicken if you whisk it for around five minutes.

5. Switch off the flame.

6. Serve hot with nuts.
