Bandra's Bastian Restaurant Reopens For The Public

Bastian – the popular Mumbai restaurant off of Linking Road – has now reopened its doors to the public as of September 16, after a brief break for renovation. The fine seafood restaurant that was known for its delicious plates like Lobster Thermidor, Truffle Lobster Roll, giant chocolate chip pancakes and Bacon Kimchi Fried Rice, has a swanky new look that represents a laidback vibe, perfect to enjoy these nap-inducing meals.

Actress and TV judge Shilpa Shetty, who acquired a stake in the restaurant back in 2019, also opened up a restaurant in Worli by the same name, which is also under relocation. The beige-toned interiors of the new Bastian restaurant are the perfect match to their delicious signature plates of food, which had most B-town celebrities visiting to get a taste. Diners can surely expect to get a taste of their old favourites, along with some new additions like Giant Fortune Cookies to the menu, which also includes craft cocktails. Co-owned by Ranjit Bindra, the restaurant has been on Mumbai’s Top Restaurants award list as well as earned accolades for being the best premium dining global restaurant in 2021.

Known to deliver consistently great food made with high quality ingredients, Bastian was also named ‘Restaurant of the Year’ in 2023. Apart from its delicious seafood offerings, the establishment is also known for its decadent Mac and Cheese, Fried Chicken Bao, gluten free French toast, vegan curry bowls and spicy dumplings. The in-house bakery that bakes the most extravagant cakes has found a place on the tables of many a celebrities, whose birthdays are incomplete without one of their creations.
