From 560 Kg of petha and 10 kg of mace (gada) received from Agra to a 20 kg replica of the Ram Mandir made from biscuits, devotees are doing everything in their capacity to participate in the grand inauguration of the holy temple. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is observing an 11-day anushthan, a traditional ritual for which he sleeps on the floor, drinks coconut water, and strictly follows the sattvic diet until Pran Pratishtha of Ayodhya Ram Mandir on January 22, 2024.

Here is the story of a man who has made one of the largest ladoos the world has ever seen.

Ayodhya Ram Mandir Receives Ladoo Weighing More Than 1000 Kg

According to the ANI, Nagabhushan Reddy made a ladoo weighing around 1265 kg so that he could offer it for the Ram Mandir consecration in Ayodhya. However, he did not work alone on this. Around 30 people worked on this masterpiece non-stop for 24 hours to prepare this sweet and send it to Ayodhya on January 17, 2024. Reportedly, it was carried in a refrigerated box so that it could reach the destination without melting away.

Explaining why he made this ladoo, Nagabhushan Reddy said, “I have owned a catering service called Shree Ram Catering since 2000. When the Bhoomi Pooja of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple was happening, we thought to ourselves as to what offering could be given to Sri Ram. Later, we came up with the idea that from the day of the Bhoomi Pooja to the day of the temple opening, each day we'll give 1 kg laddu."

Nagabhushan Reddy travelled via road to carry this ladoo to Ayodhya and offer it to the Ram Mandir ahead of consecration on January 22, 2024. One of the 30 men who made the ladoo said that he felt happy about making such a huge sweet. He had never worked on anything like this before. He also explained that the ingredients and techniques to make the ladoo were such that it would not get destroyed during travel.
