We often keep the leftover food in the fridge to prevent spoilage so that we can use it in the morning. For example, many office-going/working people prepare their breakfast or lunch at night and store it in the fridge. But packing dinner in this way and bringing it to the office can cause health hazards. Do you know why? Because this food often needs to be refried and reheated. Frying and reheating the following things are injurious to health. Let us know about it in detail.
Potato
Food made from potatoes should not be refried. One, potatoes are high in starchy carbohydrates. Second, when you keep it in the freezer, bacteria like Clostridium botulinum start growing in it. Third, when you refry them, they start procreating rapidly, due to which the consumption of potatoes often becomes detrimental to health.
Chicken
Similarly, we all know that no one will cook chicken in the wee hours of the morning. It is usually made the night before and kept in the fridge. But when you refry it in the morning, it may cause diarrhoea or food poisoning. Again, this is because chicken contains Salmonella and E. coli bacteria that aggravate while re-heating and refrying.
Rice
Similarly, many people fry the leftover rice and consume it. Do you know it may cause diarrhoea? Yes, because keeping cooked rice in the freezer (for a long time) produces bacteria in them. And when you fry this stale rice, the bacteria start proliferating, which harm our body.
Mushrooms
Mushrooms are a treasure trove of protein and antioxidants. It even contains vitamin D and therefore is considered relatively healthy. But when you reheat it, the composition of the protein change, and it does not remain quite as nutritious.
Egg
In the end, let's talk about eggs which contain all kinds of nutrients. When you reheat an omelette (made in the morning) and consume it in the evening, it causes health hazards instead of benefits.
So, from now on, don't reheat or refry the above food items. Instead, try to consume them fresh.
