Apple To Pineapple, Air Fry These Fruits

Have you ever cooked fruit in an air fryer? There are so many creative things you can do with one. Fruit may be used to make dishes ranging from breakfast to appetisers and dessert using an air fryer. It's a surprise approach to prepare fruit-based sweets without all the extra fat, calories, and labour required to prepare more challenging baked or grilled fruit desserts or even pies. Instead of baking an entire apple pie, why not have an air-fried delicacy that tastes just as good? And when you can achieve wonderfully caramelised plantains in an air fryer, why fry them on the hob? Because fruits naturally get sweeter when cooked, you can eat any of these meals without adding a lot of sugar. Additionally, you can have all of this with a lot less clutter.

We're confident you won't be able to stop eating these air-fried fruits after you've had one. Apples that are air-fried will be followed by air-fried bananas, which will be followed by air-fried peaches. You'll soon find yourself routinely perusing the fruit sections of your local grocery store, planning which fruit to air fried next.

Apples

The air fryer can be used to prepare little apple pies. But did you know that you can make something that tastes like apple pie using the air fryer and with a lot less effort? Cooking sliced apples in the air fryer for 10 to 15 minutes, peel or not, is a great option. You should sprinkle cinnamon or other apple pie seasonings like cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, ginger, and cardamom on the apples after coring and slicing them. The spices will adhere to the apple slices easier and the flavour will be improved if you coat the apple slices with melted coconut oil and maple syrup beforehand.

Bananas

Another baked fruit that you should definitely bake in your air fryer is bananas. The next best thing to banana bread is these luscious, caramelised bananas. Also, the entire air-frying procedure will only take six to eight minutes, so it will be finished quickly. The simplest way to air fried bananas is to slice and peel them before putting them in the air fryer, then add a bit of your preferred oil to slightly crisp them up. The banana can also be cooked inside its own peel by slicing it in half. Bananas that have been air-fried are delicious both simple and when sprinkled with cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice.

Oranges

Depending on what you add, air-fried oranges are appropriate for breakfast, a snack, or a whole dessert. The finest results when air fried oranges come from exposing the fruit's juicy inside, not from air frying pith-covered orange slices. The easiest approach to prepare oranges for air frying is to either slice them into rounds or quarters, peel or leave the peel on. The chunks should next be covered in cinnamon and brown sugar or maple syrup. It only takes three to five minutes in the air fryer to begin lightly crisping it up. Your fruit is ready to eat after the edges begin to brown.

Strawberries

Strawberries appear to be the most popular option, though you may use any berry in the air fryer. Warm, plump berries are delicious on their own, as an addition to breakfast dishes, or as a side dish for dessert. A smart approach to use up extremely tart strawberries that are unappealing to eat raw and straight from the jar without a little assistance is to air fried them. Just cut your strawberries into slices and sprinkle them with cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice. You might also add some brown or white sugar if your strawberries are a bit too tart. It just takes four to eight minutes of air frying to achieve berry perfection after they have been seasoned and sweetened.

Peaches

Similar to air-fried apples, air-fried peaches offer the taste of pie without the effort of cooking a full peach pie. It is a tiny treat that may provide a great deal of gourmet delight with little work. Peaches that have been air-fried are also delicious on their own and taste great when served as part of a breakfast dish with yoghurt and oats. To begin, cut or slice your peaches in half and remove the pits before frying them in the air. You can also remove the peach skin if you don't want to eat it. Then, sprinkle cinnamon, coconut oil, and brown sugar over the peaches to coat them. The air fryer should only need five to seven minutes to bake the peaches.

Pineapples

As we heat pineapples to make everything from kebabs to pizza toppings to pineapple upside-down cake, grilling and baking pineapples is nothing new to us. That they come out nicely when air fried is therefore not surprising. Starting with pineapple rings, chunks from a can, or a fresh pineapple that you peeled and cored yourself are all options. You should use both oil and sugar to cover your pineapple in order to get the most flavour out of it. Melted butter and brown sugar, coconut sugar and oil, maple syrup and butter, and honey are a few delicious combos. If you like cinnamon, feel free to also sprinkle some on the pineapples.
