Few milk beverages can match the health benefits of the popular haldi doodh, a bedtime tradition for many who enjoy it for its ability to improve sleep and deliver a plethora of health benefits. However, think about enhancing this calming beverage's flavour and nutritional content. Let's talk about the pleasantly sweet and crispy dried figs, or anjeer. Let's look at the wonderful advantages of adding anjeer to milk to make it a pleasant treat rather than a boring habit.

Anjeer is a nutritious powerhouse, packed with vitamins A, C, and K, copper, magnesium, potassium, zinc, and iron, to name just a few. Anjeer is also suitable for diabetics and might be a helpful addition to your diet if you're attempting to reduce weight.

Anjeer milk is a unique blend of deliciousness and health benefits. Anjeer is a nutritional powerhouse, having significant levels of copper, magnesium, potassium, and vitamins A, C, and K. This priceless dried fruit supports better immunity, stronger bones, and better digestion.

Soluble fibre from Anjeer improves diabetic-friendly diets and aids in weight management. When combined with milk, it produces a delicious mixture that is crispy and sweet. When milk is elevated to anjeer milk, a tasty approach to providing your body with critical nutrients is introduced, making it a great option for health-conscious people and those looking for nutritious pleasure.

However, anjeer milk also has a lot of calories and sugar, so you should watch your portion sizes. One cup of anjeer milk should be the maximum amount consumed each day. Consider using ripe figs rather than dried figs and substituting unsweetened almond milk or coconut milk for regular milk as ways to make anjeer milk diabetes-friendly.

Before introducing anjeer milk to your diet, it's also a good idea to see your doctor, especially if you take diabetes medications. Your doctor can assist you in deciding whether anjeer milk is the best option for you and in developing a meal plan that takes into account your specific requirements.

Here's How You Can Make Anjeer Milk At Home:

Ingredients:

 4-5 dried figs (anjeer)

1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)

 1 teaspoon honey (optional)

A pinch of cardamom powder (optional)

Method:

To start, run cold water over the dried figs to get rid of any dirt or contaminants.  Soak them in warm water for 15 to 20 minutes after cleaning. The figs will get softer as a result, making blending them easier.

Drain the figs after soaking, then add them to the mixer. To help the mixture, add a little milk. Blend until a smooth and creamy consistency is reached.

Warm the milk slowly over low to medium heat in another pan. Try not to bring it to a boil.

Add the blended fig mixture to the pan once the milk has warmed. To make sure the fig mixture is completely absorbed into the milk, stir the mixture well.

Add a teaspoon of honey and a dash of cardamom powder to the milk if you'd like it a little sweeter. The flavour profile will be improved, and an aromatic twist will be added.

To ensure that the flavours blend, give the Anjeer milk a few minutes to simmer. Occasionally stir the milk to keep it from sticking to the bottom.

Once heated, strain the Anjeer milk to remove any fig bits before pouring it into your serving glass or cup. Whether you choose to proceed with this step depends on your taste in texture.

You can now enjoy your homemade Anjeer milk. Consume it warm as a soothing evening beverage or at any time of the day to benefit from its nutritional qualities.
