All About Mouni Roy’s Gastronomic Trip To Kolkata

Actor Mouni Roy has made a niche for herself in the industry now. After starting her acting journey from television, she has come a long way. From starring opposite Akshay Kumar in the sports film Gold in 2018 to now bagging a prime role in the much-awaited fantasy drama Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva, Mouni surely seems to have arrived. While the Naagin actor definitely has many fans around the world, her foodie side is what has caught our attention, lately.

Mouni, who recently got married to Indian businessman Suraj Nambiar, is a foodie, who keeps sharing her food shenanigans with her fans and followers of over 24 million on Instagram. And she rarely disappoints us, as she can be seen eating some of the most delicious dishes in the world. Don’t believe us? Her latest video is proof. 

Recently, Mouni made a short work trip to Kolkata, where she indulged in all kinds of classic Bengali delicacies. Being a Bengali herself, it won't be wrong to say that Mouni has a soft spot for Bengali cuisine. Take a look:

 “When in Kolkata. Worked, ate & danced the days away”, Mouni captioned the video that she shared on social media. The clip that showcases her stay in the ‘city of joy’ has already garnered over 260k views. 

In the video, we saw her journey starting with a box full of Bengali sweets, followed by a glimpse of a Bengali feast she relished. In the spread, we spotted baigun bhaja (Bengali-style fried brinjals), bandhakopir torkari (Bengali-style cabbage and peas sabzi), salad, pulao, and payesh (kheer). After that, we could also see the famous jhalmuri, a street snack made with puffed rice and spices. That’s quite a feast that Mouni enjoyed. Don’t you think?
