Film promotions are probably one of the best times for fans to interact with their favourite celebrities as the latter become open to some candid face time with their fans. The latest actor who has been spotted spending time and sharing a bite with his fans is Aditya Roy Kapur. Aditya, who has been promoting his upcoming movie Rashtra Kavach Om was seen in Pune city, enjoying a plate of the famous Puneri Misal Pav. The actor was surrounded by students as he dug in to his plate of food. Aditya seemed to be relishing every bite, and this was evident by his expressive gestures. Unwinding amongst youngsters by eating Pune's street food comes as a relief for Aditya who recently expressed the angst that actors have to go through for maintaining their body's fitness. Talking about his journey with regard to food and fitness, Aditya said in an interview to a news website that, the process of maintaining extreme fitness for actors was ‘quite sad’. He said, “It's just having no life. Not being able to eat and drink what you like. It's all quite sad. I don't think it's worth it...I was 102 kilo, went to shape for Fitoor, then again I went up, again I went down.”
There are multiple claims of eateries for being classified as the oldest places serving this favourite snack of Pune - Misal Pav. However, two vintage eateries that absolutely stand out in taste and popularity are the Vaidya Upagar Gruha and Bedekar Tea Stall. Both of these eateries are many decades old with reports of the Vaidya Upagar Gruha being up to 107 years old. If you eat at the Vaidya Upagar Gruha you will get to try not red but green Rassa Misal. The green chilli, ginger, and garlic gravy make the dish spicy and savoury. If you try out the Bedekar Tea Stall you will get the choice to pair bread with Misal instead of Pav. Apart from these two, there are many more vintage eateries that you can try a plate of Misal Pav at.
