Do you call yourself the biggest fan of ice creams? Do you often daydream about that last scoop of chocolate ice-cream that you were never able to finish because you were so full? Do you often think about all the new flavours you would want to try the next time you visit an ice cream shop? Then you would be happy to know that an ongoing pop up in Abu Dhabi is not only featuring more than 1000 ice cream flavours but has also set a Guinness World Record for the feat. Yes, you heard us. If you are bored of your regular chocolate, vanilla, blueberry, pistachio flavoured ice –cream, then be rest assured that there exists a whole world of ice-cream flavours to make you merrier. Can there be a news more exciting, we guess not!
The ongoing Abu Dhabi Shopping and Dining Season at Ice Cream Lab pop-up at Yas Mall has something that will evoke the child in all of us. According to guinnessworldrecords.com, “the most varieties of ice cream on display is 1,001 flavours” and it was achieved by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi Events Bureau Culinary Department (UAE) and Pan-n-Ice (UK) in Abu Dhabi, UAE, on 2 July 2021.
Pan-n-Ice, a UK based Ice cream shop also took to their Twitter to share the news.
“We teamed up with Abu Dhabi Culinary at @yasmallad to set the record for most varieties of ice cream on display and we ABSOLUTELY SMASHED IT!” they tweeted with a picture of the owners holding the plaque.
Through the month, the have also been posting, resharing images, videos and snapshots from the event. If you are a fan of ice rolls then get ready to ogle.
