When mornings are packed with chores and you have very little time to whip up a wholesome dish, smoothies might be a great breakfast option. It only takes a few minutes to make them, they are packed with nutrition, and it is convenient to have them on the go. And you can even relish your least favourite fruits or veggies for their nutritional value. Moreover, many people might prefer to kickstart their mornings with a wholesome smoothie simply because they are filling and provide you with a lot of energy to carry on through the day.

Smoothies might be a great option for all those who hustle their way through busy mornings. These delicious blends not only satiate your sweet cravings but also provide a healthier alternative to sugary cereals or syrup-slathered buttery pancakes. While not always low in calories, smoothies tend to contain nutritious ingredients such as fruits, veggies, seeds, nuts, and yoghurt, making them a healthier choice compared to many other available breakfast options.

Smoothies are also a great option for a snack or a late-night treat that you won't feel guilty about eating because, let's be honest, most people might usually snack on cookies or chips. And the chocolate peanut butter and banana smoothie is far superior to that because of the healthy ingredients it contains without compromising on taste at all, which makes it a definite crowd-pleaser too. This creamy smoothie comes together in a matter of minutes with only a few ingredients and is so delicious that you'll want it for breakfast or dessert every day.

Here's how you can make this delicious chocolate peanut butter and banana smoothie in the comfort of your kitchen.

Ingredients:

 1 tablespoon cocoa powder

 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

 1 medium banana

 1/2 cup Greek yoghurt

 1 cup of milk

 2 tablespoons peanut butter

Optional: grated chocolate and 1 tablespoon of chia or hemp seeds

Method:

In a blender, combine the milk, banana, peanut butter, chocolate, Greek yoghurt, chia or hemp seeds (if using), and vanilla. Keep blending the puree until it is smooth.

Pour into glasses, sprinkle chopped chocolate over top, then serve and savour.

Note: You can also convert this smoothie into a smoothie bowl with some yummy toppings like berries, seeds, and fruits that will elevate this already delicious dish. You can top the smoothie bowl with shredded coconut, strawberries, granola, sliced bananas, drizzled peanut or cashew butter, blueberries, dry fruits, and any other topping that you prefer. The possibilities are endless for relishing this delightful smoothie.
