If weddings are a vivid celebration of love, togetherness and new beginnings, then food is at their very heart... this is the theme captured in the finalists' photographs in the 'Champagne Taittinger Wedding Food Photographer' category of the recently announced Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year 2023 awards. As reported previously by Slurrp, the overall winner is Jon Enoch, a UK-based photographer who submitted a portrait of a candy floss seller from Mumbai for the competition.
'Stories During Dinner' by Isabelle Hattink took home the first prize in the 'Champagne Taittinger Wedding Food Photographer' category. It depicts children lounging before a wedding banquet table while the adults engage in conversation.

'Tie the Knot with Food', by Li Jianping
A traditional wedding is being held in a farmer's house in Xiaying village, Huichang County, Jiangxi Province. Before the wedding night, according to the traditional custom, the groom feeds the bride with food from his own mouth.

'Funny Fizz', by Lynne Kennedy
Jennifer & Holger enjoy champagne and sandwiches in the drawing room of the famous Kinloch Lodge on Skye after their 20-year vow renewal ceremony. They endured the wind and rain of the famous 'Misty Isle' (Skye) to renew their vows then came inside to dry out and celebrate.

'The Wedding Breakfast Begins', by Tiree Dawson
Much excitement for the new Mr and Mrs! Andy and Rosy were played into their wedding breakfast at Askham Hall by a brass band and greeted with heaps of enthusiasm from the guests!

'The Saloon', by Francesca Beckett
A groom and his brother calm their nerves with a stiff drink, served at their very exclusive backyard bar. Built (and stocked) by the groom, it served as a unique spot for a pre-wedding whisky toast.
