* Cooking Competition

In February 2023, the largest-ever cooking competition was organised from 21st to 23rd February. This was organised in Malaysia by the Malaysia Bersatu Culinary Association. The cooking competition was attended by 713 people in Kuala Lumpur who took part in the activity. This was registered as the largest cooking competition to happen and this is the reason why it secured a place in the Guinness Book of World Records.

* Most Expensive Ice Cream

This record was created in Japan or we can say that the previous record was broken by a Japanese person in May 2023. A popular ice cream brand in Japan sold an ice cream called Byakuya that cost Rs 5 lakhs and was purchased by an individual. This ice cream was prepared from extremely expensive ingredients like edible Gold leaf, sake lees, truffle, Reggiano and a lot of other expensive ingredients. This has been recorded officially as the most expensive ice cream.

* Largest Pizza

This famous record was created by a famous American YouTuber Airrack who collaborated with a pizza brand to create the largest ever Pizza in the history of mankind. The pizza covered 13,957.77 ft.² in area and weighed around 6193 kg. More than 6,30,496 pepperoni slices were used to cover the pizza on the top. This is one of the most extravagant records that has been created by someone.

* Eating Pasta Bowl

This is another bizarre record that you will be surprised to read about. This record was created in August 2023, which was a very special month for food records as a lot of other significant records were made in this month. This one gained a lot of popularity because of how impossible it seems when you first get to know about it. A person from the UK set this record for finishing a bowl of pasta within 17 seconds. This may sound crazy, but it is true. Other similar records that were created in August include eating the most vegan nuggets in a minute and consuming a whole lettuce head within 46.53 seconds.

* Longest Brownie

This record is made in India and was made possible by two Indian bakeries. This was created in September in a football stadium in Kerala. The To Bakery is involved in creating the longest-ever brownie in a football stadium in Kerala. The length of the brownie was measured to be 732 feet and one inch. The brownie was made completely out of natural ingredients without using anything artificial to make it have a firmer consistency. This is a very unique record and was celebrated by everyone in the country.

* Hottest Pepper & Heaviest Pumpkin

Both of these records were made in October and are extremely significant among food records. The hottest pepper or chilli on the planet now is Pepper X. This has been grown by the same person who was responsible for growing its predecessor Carolina Reaper. This is an extremely spicy and hot pepper and not at all fit for human consumption directly. The record for the heaviest pumpkin has also been broken and the latest pumpkin weighs 1246.9 KG. This is a humongous pumpkin and has been grown naturally.

* Longest Cooking Marathon

This record has been created by a chef from Ireland called Alan Fisher. He created a record for running the longest cooking Marathon by cooking continuously for 119 hours and 57 minutes in November. He is a famous chef in Ireland and is also the owner and chief chef of a famous restaurant in Japan. This is one of the craziest and most meticulous records that have been made in 2023.
