Ladies, you don’t need to resist foods that you’ve been eating since childhood in a bid to lose weight. Guess what? There are so many classic Indian food combinations that are actually weight loss foods!
‘Ghar ka khaana’ or traditional eating habits have been a win-win for our grandparents and parents manage to stay fit, but the new gen tends to sometimes underestimate the value of it. Due to this, we stop eating traditional Indian cuisine like chapati, rice, lentils, and other things. But we must not do that.
Health Shots spoke to Dr Anuradha Arisetty, Consultant – Dietitian/Nutritionist, Motherhood Hospitals, Hebbal, Bengaluru, to find the best classic Indian food combinations which can help in weight loss.
Dr Arisetty says, “It’s a misconception that eating less will help you lose weight faster. Losing weight and maintaining a healthy body from inside and out has more to do with nutrition. Another misconception is that only certain food items will help you lose weight, but some classic Indian food combinations can also help you do that. Having multiple food items mixed together can help to have a balance of nutrition with each meal.”
