You always feel the desire to eat and drink something warm when it's cold outside since it's difficult to keep yourself covered up all the time. The most important thing is to warm your body from the inside out, and what could be a better method to do so than by including herbs in your diet or beverage? Herbs are an integral part of our lives and have numerous health benefits. These herbs not only help to warm the body but also promote better blood flow. Here is a list of 5 such herbs to welcome winters on a healthy note.

Tulsi

Tulsi is well known for easing the signs of bronchitis, asthma, and allergies. It is a strong antioxidant that has anti-ageing benefits in addition to being excellent for the respiratory system. The greatest approach to keep warm is to chew on a few tulsi leaves with a few black peppercorns and a spoonful of honey.

There is a reason why coriander is so widely available in winter thanks to nature. In the winter, we add the herb to practically all of our dishes, including soups, salads, bakes, and curries. Although not particularly warming in nature, it is a great source of vitamin C and helps the body fight off seasonal illnesses by boosting immunity.

Rosemary

Rosemary is a common ingredient in many dishes, both fresh and dried. Research has demonstrated that rosemary can help reduce asthma symptoms and allergy symptoms. The herb includes rosmarinic acid, which has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It is a free radical scavenger that can reduce allergy antibodies and some white blood cells' inflammatory responses. Use the herb as a garnish on your dishes and salads.

Fenugreek

In winter, fenugreek leaves are widely available and are thought to be nourishing and warm. They are beneficial for weight loss and effective against diabetes and high cholesterol. Since they have a mildly bitter flavour, it is not a good idea to include them in soups. Make use of them by using them to make subzees and parathas.

Oregano

We frequently include the well-known Italian herb oregano in our pizza. Use a lot of the store-bought oregano seasoning in your soups and stews during the winter. They not only enhance the flavour of the food but also have a warming effect, making them handy in the cold.
