We all know that traditionally cookies are baked in the oven. But not all of us need to have ovens in our homes. Now that Christmas is around the corner and everybody is preparing to make the best Christmas desserts, we have bought great alternative ways to make your favourite Christmas cookies without using an oven. * Crockpot Cookies

You can use your crockpot in more ways than you can imagine. Crockpot is usually used to make stews and soups. But surprisingly you can also use it to make cookies. You might think that to make your cookies in a crockpot, you will need more ingredients than usual. But this doesn't need any extra ingredients at all. This is a simple recipe that requires you to use your regular ingredients. All you have to do is prepare your cookie dough. No place for an aluminium sheet on the bottom of your crockpot. Grease it evenly and spread your door on top of it. These cookies need to be Cooked on low flame for at least 3 to 4 hours. Keep checking your cookies regularly to make sure that they don't get burned.

* Pressure Cooker Cookies

You might have cooked a cake in the pressure cooker before but this time you can try baking your cookies in a pressure cooker. It is one of the easiest and quickest equipment you can use to make your cookies. All you have to do is arrange for a mason jar. Add all the necessary cookie ingredients to this jar. Top the jar with a layer of foil. no poor one cup of water in the pressure cooker and place the trivet inside the cooker. Place your mason jar on the top of the trivet and cook it for 5 to 7 minutes. In 5 to 7 minutes, your cookie will turn firm. 

* Microwave Cookies

If you do not have an oven at home, then you can also try making your cookies in a microwave. Other than heating and defrosting, microwaves can also be used in making cookies. Now, while making your cookies in the microwave, you must remember that unlike an oven, the microwave doesn't distribute the heat evenly, and may also lead to separation of ingredients. Avoid using ingredients like eggs, chocolate, chips or candies. You can use cocoa powder, sugar, or even cinnamon powder. To make your cookies more soft, and delicious, you can add flavourings with sugar, flour, butter, baking soda, and vanilla extract. Simply just place your cookie dough in your desired shape inside the microwave. Put the timer for 3 to 5 minutes. Keep a close eye on the cookies and adjust the temperature and time by looking at the cookies.

* Stovetop Cookies

Most of you will be surprised to know that it is possible to cook your cookies on a stove. Just like you can make your pizza on the pan, you can also make your cookies. It is a wonderful and hassle-free option for making your cookies. But there are a few things that you must remember. One is that you must always heavily grease your pan. Always flatten the cookie dough on the pan with the help of a spatula. Once you see the bottom side of the cookie becoming firmer, flip the cookie with the help of a spatula. Cook both sides of the cookie similarly. After some time, you will see your cookie turning into a brown colour. No place your cookie on a cooling rack and let it sit there for some time

* Refrigerator Cookies

These cookies require absolutely no heat. All you have to do is beat all your powdered ingredients like sugar, almond butter, and normal butter in a bowl. Combine them well and add your other flavouring ingredients like fruit candies to the mixture. Now make your cookie dough and modify it as per the shape you want. Press your thumb into each ball so that it creates a hole. Now add your powdered mixture inside your cookie dough and top it with some jam. Keep it in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 days. Ensure that you keep the cookies at room temperature for at least half an hour before serving them to guests. You can make many such refrigerator cookie recipes at home as per your preference.

None of these cookie recipes require you to use an oven. Oven-made cookies are delicious but just in case you don't have an oven, nothing can stop you from making cookies at home with the help of these recipes.
