Ingredients

  • 150 g mushrooms, chopped
  • 2 tbsp garlic, chopped
  • Thinly chopped tomatoes
  • Thinly chopped onion
  • 4 slices Multigrain bread
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • Salt and black pepper as required

Method

  • Heat up olive oil and add garlic and onion in it. 
  • Cook till the onions are golden and soft.
  • Add tomatoes and cook till they are soft.
  • Add mushrooms, salt and pepper.
  • Stir till the mushroom filling is cooked. Switch off the gas and add the mayo.
  • Spread the butter on a slice of bread and add the filling.
  • Cover it with another slice and repeat the process for all the bread slices.
  • Toast the sandwich in a pan or in a sandwich maker.
  • Serve hot with a chilli dip.
