Extra fluffy and flavourful, these bite-sized sweet treats are similar to doughnuts but take half the time to make and enjoy!
300 grams fresh yoghurt 300 grams all-purpose flour 2 eggs 4 tablespoons sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla essence 1 teaspoon baking powder 2 teaspoons lemon zest 500 ml il, for frying ¼ cup powdered sugar
Add the yoghurt, eggs, vanilla, sugar and lemon zest to a mixing bowl and combine everything until combined.
Add the flour and baking powder to the wet mixture and whisk it in, until there are no lumps in the batter.
Heat the oil in a frying pan and make pellet-sized balls with a spoon and drop them in gently.
Fry for a minute on each side, until they turn a golden-brown colour and fluffy.
Serve hot with a generous dusting of powdered sugar.
