Yellow Foods You Can Eat For Basant Panchami

Basant Panchami is a spring festival that is celebrated widely across India. People dress up in yellow clothes and also prepare yellow-coloured foods as a tribute to the season.  

Kesar Kheer 

Kheer, an Indian milk and rice pudding is a festive staple. Add a tinge of kesar to the same to give it a bright, festive upgrade.

Khichuri 

Basant Panchami is celebrated as Saraswati Pujo in Bengal. Standard bhog of Khichudi (a one-pot dish combining lentils, rice and veggies is served for lunch.  

Meethe Chawal

This sweet preparation of rice, saffron strands, sugar, cardamon and milk is a Basant Panchami favourite in North India. 

Raj Bhog

Not Roshogolla, this Basant Panchami, stick by the theme and try Raj Bhog, a semolina and chenna-based sweet flavoured with saffron.
