Prepared during Lakshmi puja, laee is a Sindhi-style chikki made with sev, channa and puffed rice. The crunchy sweet is packed and gifted to married daughters for long journeys.
Is it hard to guess that the origins of this dessert lie in kheer? Slightly thicker version of the classic milk pudding, makhana and sabudana can be added to it too.
Marking the onset of winter, this barfi is packed with khoya, dry fruits, gond and more, making it an ideal warming sweet on a cold Diwali night.
