This World Rum Day, indulge in the exotic blend of rum-soaked raisins and rich dark chocolate, for a sweet and luxurious treat. No, you don’t need to buy it because this one is super-easy to make at home.
200g dark chocolate, chopped 1/2 cup raisins 1/4 cup rum 2 tbsp granulated sugar (optional, for extra sweetness) Pinch of salt
In a bowl, soak raisins in rum for at least 1 hour until plump.
Melt dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a pan of simmering water, stirring until smooth.
Stir in granulated sugar into the melted chocolate for extra sweetness.
Drain the rum-soaked raisins and fold them into the chocolate mixture.
Pour the chocolate and raisin mixture into moulds or a lined baking tray.
Refrigerate for 2-3 hours until set. Once firm, cut into pieces and serve chilled.
