It's essential that you take care of the pulses since, if neglected, they can quickly become infested with bugs and other particles. Here are some simple suggestions for storing pulses.
In the container, first place a few dried neem leaves before adding grains. As a result, the grains will remain secure for longer period.
Maintaining pulse quality and minimising insect pest issues during storage require aeration. The pulses can be periodically aired and left in sunshine for a while.
Dry roasting the pulses is also a wise decision before putting them in your glass jar.
Add a pinch of dry red chilli powder to the container to prevent the pulses from going bad.
Add some garlic cloves that haven't been peeled to the lentil container and stir thoroughly. If you employ this trick, your pulses will remain secure and free from pests for a long time.
If you buy pulses in little quantities, you can put them in a container and keep them in the refrigerator. This will prevent the pulses from spoiling for a long time and will also keep insects away.
