A dense, rich cake loaded with chocolate flavour, this one-bowl recipe is great to bake over the weekend, for birthdays and picnics.
1 cup buckwheat flour ¾ cup almond meal 1 cup cocoa powder 2 teaspoons baking powder 1 cup whole milk ½ cup vegetable oil 3 eggs ½ teaspoon baking soda 1 pinch salt 1.5 cups sugar
Add the dry ingredients into a large mixing bowl and combine thoroughly.
Pour in the wet ingredients and stir gently to mix into a thick batter.
Pour into a greased baking tray and bake in a preheated oven at 175 degrees Celsius for 40 minutes.
Cool on a wire rack and unmould the cake.
Apply a thick layer of chocolate ganache, if needed and enjoy at room temperature.
