Winter Special: Try No-Oil Amba Haldi Achaar

Try something new this winter - no oil Amba Haldi Achaar is a colourful pickle that tastes like mangoes but has the health advantages of turmeric. The mango turmeric, also known as Amba Haldi, has a delicious flavour that is reminiscent of raw mangoes.

Ingredients

250g, thinly sliced Fresh Amba Haldi   2 tbsp Salt 2 tbsp, crushed Mustard Seeds   1 tbsp Red Chili Powder ½ tsp Asafoetida (Hing) ½ tsp, roasted and crushed Fenugreek Seeds (Methi) ¼ cup Water 

Step 1 

Combine sliced Amba Haldi with salt, let it sit for an hour, and drain excess water.

Mix mustard seeds, red chili powder, asafoetida, and roasted fenugreek seeds.
