Kahwa is an exotic Kashmiri drink that is prepared with special green tea leaves, whole spices, nuts and saffron. Here is an easy recipe to make kahwa at home.

10 g cinnamon Kashmiri green tea leaves 2 cardamoms 2 cloves 10 saffron 5 almonds 2 tablespoon honey

In a mortar and pestle crush together all the spices; cardamom, cloves, cinnamon and saffron. Chop almonds, crush them and keep aside.

Boil 2 cups of water in a pan. Once done, add the prepared spice mix and tea leaves.

Switch off the heat and cover it. Allow it steep for two minutes.

Strain it into cups and serve with honey and chopped almonds.
