Winter Special Saffron Tea Will Keep You Warm This Season

Till now you would have only used saffron strands to enhance the colour and flavour of your biryani and desserts. But did you know saffron tea is also helpful in curing cold and flu? Learn how to make it.

Ingredients

½ L water, 1 tsp sugar, 0.25 gm saffron, 1 stick cinnamon, 1 tsp ginger (grated), 2-3 lemon wedges, 10-12 mint leaves

Step 1

Heat water in a pan and bring it to boil.

Step 2

Once the water starts to boil, add sugar, saffron, cinnamon, ginger, lemon wedges and mint leaves in the pan.

Step 3

Let the tea simmer for 5-7 minutes.

Step 4

Strain the tea and serve hot.
