Winters in India are incomplete without at least one bowl of decadent Gajar Ka Halwa. Here’s an easy-peasy recipe you can try out.

1 kg carrot, peeled and grated 3 tbsp ghee 2 bay leaves 8-10 cashew / kaju, chopped 8-10 raisins 1 cup sugar 1 cup khoya 1 tbsp magaz 4 crushed cardamom

Heat a kadai, put ghee and add grated carrot and saute well. Then add the bay leaves.

Add the cashews and raisins. After 10-15 minutes add khoya and stir from time to time.

Add sugar, mix well and cook until the sugar dissolves and thickens. Cook until the halwa slightly thickens.

Now add magaz, crushed cardamom and mix well making sure everything is well combined.
