Made with mustard, coriander and spices, gahat ka shorba is a delicious soup that is very nutritional. Follow these steps to make it at home.
400 gm gahat, 3 gm mustard, 1 gm asafoetida, 15 gm coriander root, 1 gm cumin, 25 gm onion, 2 gm coriander seed, 5 gm garlic, 5 gm ginger, 2 gm salt, 1 gm peppercorn
Heat oil, add cumin, coriander seeds, chopped ginger garlic, and onion sauté it.
Then add asafoetida, when it starts releasing flavour, add roughly chopped tomato and coriander root. Sauté it.
Add water and gahat, cook it on a slow flame till it is mushy. Strain it and adjust the seasoning and your gahat ka shorba is ready.
