Bored of eating vegetables every day? Add a meaty touch to your dinner with these easy chicken and rice pairings.
The simplest of all, chicken pulao is a slightly less masaledaar version of biryani, where chicken and rice are cooked together in a pressure cooker.
The Chinese fried rice gets a desi twist with this recipe. Long-grain rice, mixed with finely chopped veggies, chunks of meat and sauces is what you need to try.
All you need to do is steam your rice with jeera, juliennes of carrots and peas. Meanwhile, prepare a spicy chicken curry and mix the two together for dinner.
Usually made on dum, the chicken and rice are cooked separately and layered in a handi. Topped with saffron strands and fried onions, this chicken biryani is delicious.
The rice is flavoured with butter, herbs and garlic. Layered in a baking tray, the chicken pieces are topped on it and baked till the flavours infuse with one another.
