Wholesome Muskmelon Smoothie To Keep You Energised In Summer Months

Summer season demands chilled, refreshing drinks to keep you cool from within.  You can whip up muskmelon smoothie as a refreshing and nutritious beverage perfect for hot summer days. This simple yet delicious recipe combines the sweetness and juicy flavour of ripe muskmelon with creamy yoghurt and a hint of honey for sweetness. 

Ingredients

2 cups ripe muskmelon, diced 1 cup plain yogurt 1 tablespoon honey (adjust according to taste) 1/2 cup ice cubes Optional: a squeeze of lime juice or a sprinkle of mint leaves for added freshness

Step 1

Peel the muskmelon, remove the seeds and cut it into small chunks. In a blender, combine the diced muskmelon, diced yoghurt, honey and ice cubes.

Step 2

Blend the ingredients on high speed until smooth and creamy. If the smoothie is too thick, you can add a splash of water or milk to reach your desired consistency.

Step 3

Taste the smoothie and adjust the sweetness by adding more honey if necessary. You can squeeze lime juice for a tangy kick.

Step 4

Pour it into glasses and garnish with mint leaves and serve immediately. You can also refrigerate the smoothie for a few minutes.
