Often called just Scotch, it can be malt or grain. It is at least aged in an oak barrel for 3 years.
This smooth spirit is only distilled in wooden casks for 3 years. It is great for making cocktails.
Again, a smooth whiskey, it is usually made from corn and rye. It is pleasant to sip on neat.
Reputed to be of supremely high quality, Japanese whiskey uses similar distilling method as Scotch.
This variety has a soft maple colour and does not have a harsh alcohol bite. It is an easy-drinking spirit.
The demand for this type is increasing because of new consumers who enjoy flavours like apple, peach, cherry and cinnamon.
