This shrikhand is thick, sweet, and has a mango flavour. Prepare this amrakhand, a typical shrikhand with additional fresh mango pulp at home today.
2 cups Plain yogurt ¼ cup Sugar powdered Saffron Strands 1 teaspoon Milk ¼ teaspoon Green cardamom seeds powder ½ cup Mango pulp or puree 4 tablespoons Chopped nuts
Start with making hung curd. A sieve should be positioned on top of a large, deep bowl.
Place yogurt in a muslin cloth on the sieve. Store it in the fridge for at least 5 hours.
Once the thick yogurt or hung curd is formed, transfer it into a bowl.
Add crushed saffron in warm milk. In the blender add mango chunks and blend it smooth.
Add saffron milk, powdered sugar, mango pulp, cardamom powder, and chopped nuts to the hung curd.
Mix them gently and enjoy with a garnish of mango cubes!
