Room Temperature
If you plan to use lemons within a week, store them at room temperature away from direct sunlight.
Refrigeration
For longer storage, place lemons in a resealable plastic bag or an airtight container and refrigerate them. Avoid keeping them in the crisper drawer, as the humidity can cause spoilage.
Avoid Cutting
Only cut the lemon when you're ready to use it, as cut lemons tend to dry out quickly.
Freezing
To preserve lemon juice or zest, freeze them in ice cube trays. Once frozen, transfer the cubes to a freezer-safe container or bag.
