The West Bengal’s CM loves plain and simple food. She always starts her day by indulging in a cup of hot tea and muri, which is puffed rice.
Among many dishes, she loved the authentic aloo chop that is popular in the state. Aloo chop is potato fritter and is a renowned street food. A cup of chai with aloo chop seems heavenly.
In videos, Mamata Banerjee is seen showing her culinary skill by cooking khichudi and labra for a puja. This is a traditional and perfect combination for Bengalis during any puja.
On one of her visits to Darjeeling, Mamata Banerjee was seen sitting in a small kitchen and making momos from scratch. In recent times, momos have evolved as a favourite food of most people of West Bengal.
As a token of respect and gratitude, Mamata Banerjee sent Bengali-origin mangoes like Himsagar, Fazli, Langra and Laxman Bhog, to President President Droupadi Murmu.
