Ragi of finger millet soup is an excellent choice for those trying to lose weight because of its high nutritional value and low-calorie content. With all the health benefits of ragi and other veggies, do not wait further to try this.
2 tbsp ragi flour 1-2 cups of water Oil Ghee Cumin seeds Finely chopped green chillies, garlic & ginger Finely chopped onion Veggies of your choice. Salt to taste Black pepper Roasted cumin powder
In a pan, add some oil, cumin seeds, finely chopped green chillies, garlic and ginger. Saute them for a few seconds. Then add onions and cook till it gets translucent.
To this add your veggies, spices- salt, black pepper powder and roasted cumin powder and give it a good mix. Add water and let the veggies cook.
Take a small bowl, to this add 2 tbsp of ragi flour and water and whisk till it is properly mixed. Then add this concoction to the veggies and let it cook. The soup will start to thicken as it is cooking.
Add some ghee to it, it adds a rich flavour to the soup. If the ragi is cooked well, it starts to get a shiny texture, once you notice that, the soup is ready.
Serve it hot and do not hesitate to go for extra servings!
