Weight Loss On Your Mind? Try This Oats Khichdi Recipe

Oats is easily available in the market and extremely useful if you want to eat clean and healthy. There are several dishes that you can make with oats. Here is an easy oats khichdi recipe perfect for a healthy weight loss diet 

Ingredients

1 cup rolled oats 1/2 cup split moong dal 1 tablespoon ghee 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder Salt, to taste 2 cups water Chopped coriander leaves, for garnish 

Step 1

In a pressure cooker or pot, heat ghee over medium heat. Add cumin and mustard seeds and let them splutter. 

Step 2

Add the soaked and drained split moong dal to the pot and sauté for a minute. Then, add rolled oats, spices, salt, and 2 cups of water. 

Step 3

Cover the pressure cooker and cook for 2-3 whistles or until the dal and oats are cooked through. Then, let the steam release naturally.

Step 4

Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve it hot. You can add a little ghee too!
