Elaichi wala doodh, or cardamom-infused milk, is a comforting and aromatic drink perfect for soothing your senses. This easy-to-make drink is ideal for a relaxing evening treat.
Heat 500ml of milk in a saucepan. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking or burning.
Crush 4-5 green cardamom pods and add them to the milk. You can also use ½ teaspoon of cardamom powder for convenience.
Add 1-2 tablespoons of sugar (or jaggery for a healthier option) and stir until dissolved.
Let the milk simmer on low heat for 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavours to infuse. Strain, and serve hot, garnished with crushed nuts or saffron.
