Want To Make Poha Without Onion? Follow This Recipe

Many people prefer not to eat onion because of many reasons, one of which is its strong flavour that can leave you with bad breath. If you struggle with the same issue, here is a quick recipe of poha without onion that is a must-try.

Ingredients

½ cup sliced cabbage ½ cup thinly sliced carrot ½ cup boiled peas 1 teaspoon mustard seeds 1-2 chopped green chillies 1.5 cups poha ½ teaspoon red chilli powder 1 teaspoon turmeric powder 2 tablespoons chopped coriander leaves Salt to taste 4-5 curry leaves 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Step 1

Soak poha in water and keep it aside while you slice and chop cabbage, carrot, and green chillies and boil green peas.

Step 2

In a kadhai, heat a tablespoon of oil and add mustard, curry leaves, and green chillies. 

Step 3

After sauteing for a minute, add turmeric powder, carrot, boiled peas, and cabbage. 

Step 4

Once the vegetables are cooked, add red chilli powder and fold in poha.

Step 5

Let poha cook for a while. Gently toss it around after adding salt to taste.

Step 6

Top it with lemon juice and coriander leaves before serving.
